The year gone by has been the toughest year witnessed by all of us. However as I always say “When the going gets tough, the Tough gets going”. 2009 was a litmus test for all of us to endure the unprecedented slow down.

Few Organization. transform during the best times and fewer but surely stronger Organization plan and execute transformations in tough times. In Schneider Electric, we went through the  year 2009  transforming Schneider Electric as a ONE Global Organization for the benefit of our customers, partners and employees.

 

The journey has just begun. Ever since the creation of the distribution Organization in March 2008, we have been trying to evolve and bring in lots of changes in the way we do business with and through our Distributors. Schneider Electric’s strength and winning formula has always been Differentiation. To help our customer we brought in the segmentation of Distributors in 2009

I am glad and equally thankful to each one of you for standing by and supporting us in the implementation of this process, which has helped us in focusing customer centric actions of specific type of Distributors. We have taken the feedback from many of you and have tried to include as many changes possible in the new Distributor Commercial Policy 2010.

We welcome on board the new set of D61 – Energy Efficiency Specialist who will add to Schneider Electric India effort to become the “Global Specialist in Energy Management”

The year 2010 is going to be an interesting year in terms of opportunities which are reflected by the sequential growth in industrial output since Dec 2009 and the union budget which has talked about investment in infrastructure and tax sops for IT / ITES as well as R&D / Innovation investments apart from many more.

I urge all our partners to find their own comfort level of new business and help yourself in achieving a good growth in 2010.

I have advised my team to work with you closely on the “Eight Initiatives” which will continue to be the guiding star for this years performance”
