Ask a Question

Is it possile to operate Tesys D contactors at temperature of 70 Deegree Celsius.

The maximum temperature of utilization for TeSys D contactors is +60°C.
So from -5*C to 60*C. there is no derating for the contactor.
Above this temperature and up to 70°C maximum :
- for the current rating : decrease by 1% for each degree. For example, at 65°C, use a derating of - 5% ( x 0.95)
- for the control voltage : above 60°C, due to influence of temperature on magnetic properties of the coil, use the exact nominal voltage of the coil U=Uc, there
is no tolerance (in normal condition, it can be applied for a voltage of 0.8 to 1.1 Uc)
