How is IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-103 different.

Unity Quantum configurations for both of these modules is more or less similar however IEC 60870-5-101 and 103 are two different protocols.
Selection of PTQ 101M & 103M has to be done based on which protocol does the slave device supports. The massage frame format for
IEC 101 & IEC 103 is FT1.2 IEC (defined in IEC 60870-5-1) which uses 1 start bit, 1 stop bit, 1 parity bit & 8 data bits, however the frame
format of IEC 103 differs from IEC 101 in information object address which is split into function type and information number in IEC 103.
Also IEC 103 can have only single information object in a frame whereas IEC 101 can have multiple information objects. Many of the field
sizes are also restricted in IEC 103. Specific to Quantum platform both of these are different in terms of their supporting protocol i.e. PTQ 101M
for supporting IEC 60870-5-101 slave devices & PTQ 103M for supporting IEC 60870-5-103 slave devices.
