Does PRM module support Isochronous time synchronization
Isochronous mode on Profibus, requires DP-V2 functionality, the PRM does however only support DP-V1. This DP V2 function enables clock synchronous control in masters and slaves, irrespective of the bus load. The function enables highly precise positioning processes with clock deviations of less than a microsecond. All participating device cycles are synchronized to the bus master cycle through a "global control" broadcast message. A special sign of life (consecutive number) allows monitoring of the synchronization. These enhancements are primarily towards the demands of drive technology and are clearly out of the PRM scope.
