This behavior of micrologic is normal as these micrologic are designed in such way. Please find below the functioning of the Micrologic E & Micrologic P relay:--
Micrologic E :--
The digital display goes OFF if the current drops below 20% In (In = rated current). so if there is no load with the Micrologic A or Micrologic E trip unit, the LED display will OFF and not shows any value.
An optional 24 V DC external power supply may be used to maintain the display even when the current drops below 20% In.
Micrologic P :-
If the circuit breaker is ON, then the digital LED display will remain ON whatever the Load is available or not
This graphic display is goes OFF if the device is OFF or power not supplied. In this case optional 24 V DC external power supply may be used to maintain the display.
