What is the option, if no movement is desired from BRS3** stepper motor in the event stepper drive SD326 / SD328 is in fault state or powered OFF
In the event of fault, stepper drive's power stage would be disabled immediately and no current would be supplied to the motor.
Stepper drive SD326D*** drives are the drives without rotation monitoring and holding brake connection. It is obvious that stepper drive SD326D*** will not able to lock the shaft of the BRS3 range of motor.
If this is required by application, you should use SD326R*** / SD328A / SD328B range of stepper drive which is having integrated holding brake controller at CN3 connector to which direct connection of motor holding brake is possible so as in the event when power stage is disabled, holding brake is applied.
Note: BRS3 motor should be selected with Holding brake.
