What do the Modbus error codes for the EGX300 mean?

Below is a list of the Modbus error codes for the EGX300.

Error Code
Modbus Error Description
0x8072
MODBUS EXCEPTION 01 Illegal function. The function code received in the query is not an allowable action for the server or slave.
0x8073
MODBUS EXCEPTION 02 Illegal data address. The data address received in the query is not an allowable address for the server or slave.
0x8074
MODBUS EXCEPTION 03 Illegal data value. A value contained in the query data field is not an allowable value for the server or slave.
0x8075
MODBUS EXCEPTION 04 Slave device failure. An unrecoverable error occurred while the server or slave was attempting to perform the requested action.
0x8076
MODBUS EXCEPTION 05 Acknowledge. The server has accepted the request and is processing it, but a long duration of time will be required to do so.
0x8077
MODBUS EXCEPTION 06 Server device busy. The server is engaged in processing a long-duration program command. The client should retransmit the message later when the server is free.

MODBUS EXCEPTION 07 Negative acknowledge. The slave cannot perform the program function received in the query.
0x8079
MODBUS EXCEPTION 10 Gateway path unavailable. Usually means that the gateway is incorrectly configured or overloaded.

MODBUS EXCEPTION 11 Gateway target device failed to respond. Usually means that the device is not present on the network.
