Ask a Question

Is it possible to run a 250KW, 415V motor on an ATV61HC31Y drive.

It is possible to run a 415V motor on an ATV61HC31Y. The minimum adjustable motor voltage UNS is 400V on the Y-range drives. But the drive will not reach the nominal shaft power because the nominal ratings of an ATV61HC31Y are:

315kW at 690V with 355A
250kW at 500V with 390A

For a motor with 250kW at 415V the nominal current will be approx. 420A (depends on the power factor cos fi) but the nominal current of the drive is just 390A at 500V mains supply. So the maximum continuous shaft power will be approximately 230kW
