Round 1:
- The participating teams must prepare a technical paper which explains their proposal for the stated problem statement.
- The proposals should be prepared as per the prescribed format and should be submitted before 30th July 2010.
Round 2:
- The solutions submitted by the participating teams will be evaluated, and top 15 teams will be chosen for the finals.
- For the short listed teams, if required, Schneider Electric will sponsor a sum of up to 10,000 INR/200$ per team to build on their solutions within a defined time frame.
- The teams will be informed about what kind of calculations, algorithms, working models or simulations they need to prepare for the second round, based on their proposals.
- There will be a time frame of approximately 2 to 3 months that will be given to the teams for preparing the solutions for round 2
- These solutions will be presented to a jury at Schneider Electric during the grand finale which will be conducted at the Global Technology Center of Schneider Electric in Bangalore, India
- Schneider Electric will bear the travel expenses of the short listed teams for the final round at Bangalore
The judges will assess the presentations and the winners will be declared on the spot. The short-listed teams and the winners will receive certificates and trophies. In addition, the winners will receive cash prizes and an internship opportunity at Schneider Electric. The prizes will be equally divided amongst the team members.
Winners - 2,50,000 INR/5000 USD
Runners up - Rs. 1,50,000 INR/3000 USD
2nd Runners up - Rs. 100,000 INR /2000 USD
