Does M200 controller support ASCII communication for RS-232 physical interface

M200 controller as standard include 1 serial port - SL1 that supports only RS-485 physical interface. So, RS-232 physical interface is not possible for
ASCII communication.
TMCR2SL1 is a serial line cartridge includes RS485 or RS232C physical interface when inserted into M200 controller, it does support ASCII communnication over RS-232
physical interface
