When considering whether to repair or replace existing switchgear, there are a number of factors to consider. These may include the operating environment, availability of spare parts, the impact of downtime, as well as the cost of ongoing maintenance. There may also be the need to upgrade to current technology. A viable, cost-effective strategy is to modernize the existing equipment with the latest state of the art circuit breaker solutions from Schneider Electric.
Our modernization solutions, available for any manufacturer's low- and medium-voltage switchgear, will expand the capabilities of your electrical system with minimal downtime.
Direct Replacement circuit breakers are designed to fit into the existing cubicle with little-to-no downtime since there is minimal (if any) outage to the equipment bus.
Retrofill Solutions involve modifying the internal circuit breaker cell to accept the new circuit breaker. A bus outage is required for the modifications.
Value PropositionExpand the capabilities of your electrical system with minimal downtime and at a fraction of the cost of purchasing and installing new switchgear. Direct replacement and/or retrofill solutions are available for any manufacturer’s equipment.
DifferentiationOur modernization solutions utilize the upgraded technology of the Masterpact™ insulated case circuit breaker for low-voltage systems or the Magnum™ circuit breaker for medium-voltage systems. Both the Masterpact and the Magnum circuit breakers are installed, tested and commissioned by qualified field service personnel and are backed by a one-year warranty. Extended warranties are available.
